Non-Trucking Liability*

Non-Trucking Liability Insurance, aka "Bobtail" Insurance, provides a permanently leased owner operator or contract driver with a limited form of liability protection. This coverage is specially designed to provide protection when the owner-operator is NOT on dispatch, nor pulling a trailer. Non-Trucking Liability does not apply when a owner-operator pulls a loaded trailer, operates on behalf of a motor carrier or uses a vehicle for any commercial or economic purpose.
